How to Get Prestige

Prestige is earned in the following ways:
- Killing a player from an opposing nation in PvP
- You get 300 Prestige for winning the Battlefield and taking all five cores
- You get 150 Prestige for winning the Battlefield without taking all five cores.
- You get 50 Prestige for losing the battlefield but had at least one core.
- Completing an assassination mission (repeatable)
- Building field pylons during RvR
- Completing the Siege Engine Quests for Elerd or Rogwel (non-repeatable)
- From a PvP event

When killing a player in PvP, the amount of Prestige earned is related to the level and ranking of the player killed.
You get more Prestige from killing a highly ranked player.
You get more Prestige for killing a higher level player.
You get less Prestige for killing a lower level player.

You get Prestige from a player for the first three kills during a one hour period.
Prestige will decrease with each kill of the same player until it reaches zero after the third kill.
After one hour from the last kill, you can get Prestige from that player again.

Exceptions are in the Battlefield or during Realm vs Realm.
You will get the maximum amount of Prestige from a player no matter how many times you kill them in PvP.

Ranking

Prestige is used to rank players.
Each nation has its own ranks.
Each class is ranked separately from the other classes.
The amount of Prestige you need to earn a rank is relative to other players with your class.
You need to have at least 1 Prestige to get a rank.

You can see your Prestige and Ranking in the Character window (press the C key)
